After deciding a life in a lab as an environmental biologist wasn’t for me I set out to become a big, rich rock star. Unfortunately the money, fame and adoring fans didn’t quite materialize and I took an interest in the technical side of recording and worked at a music technology college installing studios and lecturing. It was here I made my first website (online studio booking for the students) and the world of the web opened up for me.
Fast-forward 6 years and I’m now a front-end developer working full time on a wide range of projects from small brochure sites to fully featured ecommerce sites and huge, multi-language sites for multi-national companies. I’m also involved in product photography – taking photos, post-processing and re-touching.
When I’m not in front of a computer I like nothing better than to get on my mountain bike, ride to the top of the largest, muddiest hill I can find and blast down it with little thought of life and limb. I still play guitar a bit too.
